The Bergen Pipeband was formed in September 2005 and continues to go from strength to strength.  There are now 10 bagpipers and 5 beginner pipers learning on the practice chanter and we presently have a 4 snare drummers, a base drummer and some beginner drummers.  Piping and Drumming tuition takes place twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 17.00 till 20.00 at the International School of Bergen.  Additional practices take place when required.
The Bergen Pipe Band have played for National and Local Norwegian television and radio on several occasions to date and regularly participate at Ceilidhs and Burn's Suppers for the Bergen Scottish Society.

The band also has been involved in 17 May celebrations in Bergen and have played at the Pillaguri festival, Otta in August 2007.  The band played 'Nystemten' at Grieghallen on 29th September 2007 for the family concert.

Are you keen to learn either the Bagpipes or drums?   Do you want to play in a Pipe band?  Both young and older students are most welcome to come and try them out and, of course, any existing players are very welcome!  Tuition is FREE.  Contact details below.

Pipers are available to play at any kind of event - corporate, wedding, party, julebord parties, funeral etc.  Prices available on request.
